TV SHOCK: Ruth Langsford STRUCK DOWN Before Air – Replaced Last Minute Due to ‘Horrible Tummy Bug’. What REALLY Happened?

Ruth Langsford Pulls Out of Live TV Show Last Minute Due to Sudden Illness – Fans Left Worried

Loose Women favourite Ruth Langsford shocked fans this week after abruptly cancelling her QVC fashion show appearance just hours before airtime. The 65-year-old presenter, who regularly fronts her own line Ruth Langsford Fashion on the shopping channel, revealed she was struck down with a nasty tummy bug that left her unable to host the episode.

Taking to Instagram, Ruth posted a photo with stylist Melissa Hardy, who stepped in as her last-minute replacement. “I’ve got a horrible tummy bug so unfortunately can’t do my show tonight!” Ruth wrote, adding: “Thankfully the wonderful Melissa is stepping in for me.”

Fans were quick to send their well-wishes, while some were left concerned over the presenter’s health. “Feel better soon Ruth,” wrote Melissa, reposting the image on her own story. QVC viewers have grown used to Ruth’s weekly appearances and many said the show wasn’t the same without her presence.

The sudden withdrawal comes after Ruth recently completed a fun photo shoot for the brand’s Today’s Special Value segment and shared how much she enjoyed working with the team. Having been an ambassador for QVC since 2017, Ruth has built a loyal fanbase who follow her clothing line closely.

With Ruth’s absence, co-host Ophelia Dennis joined Melissa on air to guide viewers through the new product drops. Ruth promised to return once she’s better, but the unexpected health scare reminded fans just how beloved she is across British TV.
