The I’m A Celeb champions across the years: some had their careers wrecked by scandal, some lost their marriages to infidelity, some rode the high of a booming podcast only to be dumped in real life — while one refuses to retire in his eighties because he’s “still in love with the microphone.” From jungle crowns to real-life chaos, their 23-year saga is the plot twist that never ends

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! crowns its 25th winner tonight, with Angry Ginge, Shona McGarty and Tom Read Wilson battling it out to be the next King or Queen of the Jungle.

This year’s series will go down as one of the most good-natured camps ever – with only the infamous “milk bottle gate” threatening to crack the peace. Rapper Aitch narrowly missed out on the final three after being voted out following the Celebrity Cyclone trial on Saturday night. Speaking to hosts Ant and Dec, he insisted he’d be happy for any of the finalists to win, but admitted he was rooting for fellow Mancunian Angry Ginge the most.

As viewers get ready to crown their latest jungle royalty, here’s what happened to every single past winner – from cheating scandals and marriages to huge career comebacks and a few brutal falls from grace.

Danny Jones (Series 24 – 2024)

McFly guitarist Danny Jones is still the reigning King of the Jungle after beating Coleen Rooney to the crown last year. His victory was quickly overshadowed by scandal when he was filmed kissing I’m A Celeb co-star Maura Higgins at a BRIT Awards afterparty in February, despite being married to wife Georgia.

Danny issued a grovelling public apology, telling fans he and Georgia would be “handling things privately” as they tried to move on from the betrayal. The pair had an awkward on-stage reunion at the National Television Awards in September when I’m A Celebrity won Best Reality Competition – they stood several feet apart as they collected the gong.

Career-wise, Danny has stuck to what he knows best – he’s been back on the road with McFly on a huge UK tour alongside Busted. He’s also flown back to Australia for the final days of the 2025 series, even missing Georgia’s birthday to be there.

Sam Thompson (Series 23 – 2023)

Superfan Sam Thompson could barely believe it when he was crowned King of the Jungle in 2023, edging out his camp bestie Tony Bellew. The show supercharged his career: his podcast with Pete Wicks, Staying Relevant, has exploded in popularity and pulls in thousands of listeners.

ITV bosses were so impressed they brought him back this year to co-host spin-off show Unpacked with Joel Dommett and Kemi Rodgers. He even scored a cheeky cameo in the UK version of Inside Out 2 as Security Man Sam, who ends up racing through the action with the emotions.

Away from work, Sam’s love life has been messy. Long-term girlfriend Zara McDermott left him and moved on with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson. Sam is now dating 25-year-old model Talitha after being set up by a friend.

Jill Scott (Series 22 – 2022)

Lioness legend Jill Scott became Queen of the Jungle in 2022 as the show returned to Australia after two years in Wales. Since retiring from football that same year, Jill has stayed close to the game, working as a pundit on Men’s and Women’s matches – including England’s Euros qualifiers and the UEFA Women’s Champions League final.

She made history as the first woman to captain England for Soccer Aid and is now a team captain on A League of Their Own. Jill is also a regular on The Overlap’s hit podcast Stick to Football alongside Gary Neville, Roy Keane, Jamie Carragher and Ian Wright.

Off the pitch, she still runs her Manchester coffee shop with fiancée Shelly Unitt.

Danny Miller (Series 21 – 2021)

Emmerdale actor Danny Miller became the second King of the Castle when the show stayed in Wales for a second year. He beat Corrie’s Simon Gregson and The Saturdays star Frankie Bridge to win.

Since his stint, Danny has popped back to Emmerdale several times as Aaron Dingle, before bowing out again last month. Away from work, he and his partner have welcomed their third child, a baby boy called Vincent Miller, born in July 2025 and named in tribute to Danny’s dad. Vincent joins big brother Albert and sister Edith.

Giovanna Fletcher (Series 20 – 2020)

Author and blogger Giovanna Fletcher made history as the first ever Queen of the Castle when the show relocated to Wales during the pandemic. She charmed viewers with her warmth, and her career has only gone upwards since.

Giovanna has continued to write books, host her popular podcast and embrace acting. She took to the West End stage in 2:22 – A Ghost Story as Jenny, a role also played by Cheryl, Jaime Winstone, Mandip Gill and Laura Whitmore, at the Gielgud Theatre following its run at the Noel Coward.

In 2022, she fronted travel series Giovanna Fletcher: Made In Italy, taking her family back to Italy to revisit childhood memories and explore their roots.

Jacqueline Jossa (Series 19 – 2019)

EastEnders star Jacqueline Jossa had a turbulent time in the jungle after campmate Myles Stephenson appeared to suggest her husband Dan Osborne had been involved with his ex Gabby Allen. After her victory, Jac broke down, saying she refused to be seen as a “doormat” and became the first winner to cancel all post-show interviews.

She and Dan later posted a loved-up holiday snap and insisted “the past is in the past.” Jacqueline told followers: “We have gone through a very long journey to be where we are today. Happy. Anyone that thinks differently, don’t comment negative comments unless you want to be blocked.”

She added that people “do not know the ins and outs” of what they’ve been through and said she is proud to stand by her husband and keep their family together. The couple now live in a £1.2 million Essex mansion with daughters Ella and Mia.

Jacqueline regularly collaborates with fast fashion brand In The Style and has returned to EastEnders as Lauren Branning.

Harry Redknapp (Series 18 – 2018)

Football manager Harry Redknapp had never watched I’m A Celeb before signing up and had no idea what he was in for. He quickly became a fan favourite thanks to his dry humour and constant stories about wife Sandra, his sweetheart since they were 17.

Harry and Sandra recently sold their famous Sandbanks mansion on Millionaire’s Row and are building Sandra’s dream home nearby. The pair also co-wrote a joint book, When Harry Met Sandra, charting their 50-plus-year love story.

Georgia “Toff” Toffolo (Series 17 – 2017)

Made In Chelsea star Georgia “Toff” Toffolo swapped King’s Road for camp life and emerged as Queen of the Jungle in 2017, beating Iain Lee and Jamie Lomas. Despite her posh background and Tory politics, she surprised viewers as a down-to-earth, hardworking campmate.

Since winning, she’s appeared on Celebs Go Dating and landed a presenting slot on This Morning. She’s invested her winnings wisely, buying two holiday homes in Devon where she grew up.

This year, Toff married BrewDog boss James Watt after being introduced on a blind date last summer, not long after splitting from fraudster ex George Cottrell. She said: “We’re really happy. I think I knew from the second date… The first date was lovely, I knew I really liked him.”

Scarlett Moffatt (Series 16 – 2016)

Gogglebox favourite Scarlett Moffatt parlayed her reality TV success into a jungle crown. Ant and Dec quickly took their fellow Geordie under their wing: she co-hosted Saturday Night Takeaway in 2017 and 2018, fronted a reboot of dating show Streetmate and later co-hosted Extra Camp.

Scarlett has continued hosting, fronting ITV dating show Love Bites and her podcast Scarlett Moffatt Wants To Believe. She also led a Tourette’s documentary in 2022.

In her personal life, Scarlett welcomed baby boy Jude in June 2023 with her policeman partner Scott Dobinson, and later announced the pair were engaged. This year she confirmed she’ll take part in the 2025 Strictly Come Dancing Christmas special.

Vicky Pattison (Series 15 – 2015)

Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison hoped the jungle would help reinvent her image – and it worked. She won the show, launched fitness projects and hosted Extra Camp in 2016, but was replaced by Scarlett Moffatt after just one series.

In 2018 she appeared in the Australian version of I’m A Celeb, partnered Dom Joly on Celebrity Haunted and joined Celebrity Coach Trip. Away from TV, Vicky finally got her happy ending: she married partner Ercan Ramadan last year after a romantic Dubai proposal, saying “I do” twice – in London and in Puglia, Italy.

She also signed up for this year’s Strictly and was eliminated a week before Blackpool.

Carl “Foggy” Fogarty (Series 14 – 2014)

Superbike legend Carl “Foggy” Fogarty became King of the Jungle in 2014 after stomaching everything thrown at him – including camel penis and ostrich anus in the live final.

Post-jungle, he played matchmaker by setting up fellow campmate Jake Quickenden with his daughter Danielle. While that romance didn’t last – Jake has since married Sophie Church and become stepdad to her son – Foggy stayed proud of his family’s TV streak. His other daughter, Claudia, entered Love Island’s winter series, continuing the reality TV legacy.

Kian Egan (Series 13 – 2013)

Westlife star Kian Egan went into the jungle after his boyband split and girl group Wonderland – which he managed – flopped. After he won, Kian released a solo album which reached number 9 in the UK chart and later became a coach on The Voice of Ireland.

He married actress and Wonderland singer Jodi Albert and is now dad to their sons. Westlife reunited in 2018 and have been touring the world ever since. Although Mark Feehily missed dates due to health issues, the band toured the USA and Canada for the first time in 2024 and released Ed Sheeran-penned single Chariot. They’ve already announced another huge tour for 2026.

Charlie Brooks (Series 12 – 2012)

EastEnders star Charlie Brooks – best known as scheming Janine Butcher – was crowned Queen of the Jungle in 2012. She continued playing Janine until 2014, then moved into other TV roles and stage work, and has earned a following for her impressive fitness transformation.

Charlie returned to EastEnders in 2021, with Janine causing chaos and falling for Mick Carter before a dramatic Boxing Day 2022 exit. She has one daughter, Kiki Brooks-Truman, born in 2004 with businessman ex Tony Truman.

Charlie is now single but happily dating again, with reports in 2023 claiming she’d joined raunchy app Feeld.

Dougie Poynter (Series 11 – 2011)

McFly bassist Dougie Poynter entered the jungle during a break from the band and ended up winning in 2011. Afterward, McFly continued releasing music and touring and later combined forces with Busted to create supergroup McBusted.

Dougie has also enjoyed a fashion career, walking the runway for Dolce & Gabbana, and he’s become a successful children’s author. He’s co-written several kids’ books with bandmate Tom Fletcher.

Stacey Solomon (Series 10 – 2010)

Stacey Solomon captured viewers’ hearts in 2010, winning the show a year after coming runner-up on The X Factor to Joe McElderry. She released her debut album Shy in 2015 and joined Loose Women as a regular panellist in 2016.

She took over from Laura Whitmore as a presenter on spin-off Extra Camp but was dropped in 2017. However, Stacey’s life changed forever thanks to the show when she later fell in love with former King of the Jungle Joe Swash on the spin-off. The pair married in 2021 and now share three children, plus a blended family at their busy home.

Gino D’Acampo (Series 9 – 2009)

Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo charmed his way to victory in 2009. After leaving, he and co-star Stuart Manning were charged with animal cruelty for killing and cooking a rat while in exile in camp. The case was dropped when ITV accepted responsibility and paid a £3,000 fine.

In 2025, Gino was hit by a career-threatening scandal after an ITV News investigation reported allegations of sexually inappropriate and intimidating behaviour from former colleagues spanning 12 years. Gino strenuously denies the claims, with his legal team calling the situation “deeply upsetting,” but ITV pulled reruns of his shows, removed him from schedules and said they had no plans to work with him on new projects, instead offering him “bespoke training.”

Joe Swash (Series 8 – 2008)

Joe Swash became King of the Jungle in 2008 not long after leaving EastEnders. From 2009 he fronted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here NOW! and, later, Extra Camp.

His personal life has had ups and downs. His ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous gave birth to son Harry in 2007, but they split months later. In 2009 Joe was declared bankrupt, which his agent insisted was an admin mix-up.

Years later, he met Stacey Solomon during her winning year and, in 2016, the pair began dating. Now married, they have three children together and are considered I’m A Celeb’s most successful love story.

Christopher Biggins (Series 7 – 2007)

Veteran actor Christopher Biggins enjoyed a major career boost after his 2007 win. But his reputation took a knock when he appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2016 and was kicked out of the house following offensive comments about bisexual people and remarks branded anti-Semitic.

Biggins later said he was “mortified” by the fallout and insisted he wasn’t a bigot, pointing out that “most of my friends, in fact, are Jewish,” and apologising to Big Brother and housemate Katie Waissel.

Matt Willis (Series 6 – 2006)

Busted star Matt Willis headed into the jungle hoping to revive his solo career and instead walked out with the crown in 2006. He later reunited with his bandmates, first in McBusted with McFly, and then as Busted themselves, who enjoyed a huge comeback.

Matt and then-girlfriend Emma Griffiths co-hosted the I’m A Celeb spin-off from 2006 to 2008 before getting married and welcoming three children: Isabelle, Ace and Trixie. He later fronted a BBC documentary about his addiction struggles and, more recently, joined Emma in hosting the UK version of Love Is Blind for Netflix. This year he hit the road again as Busted teamed up with McFly for a special joint tour.

Carol Thatcher (Series 5 – 2005)

Journalist Carol Thatcher, daughter of former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, became the show’s second female winner in 2005 and landed a coveted role on The One Show. Her TV career abruptly stalled in 2009 when she was dropped by the BBC after being heard describing a black cricket player with a racial slur in an off-air conversation.

Carol refused to apologise, insisting she “never meant it in a racist way” and calling it “shorthand” to describe someone she greatly admired.

Joe Pasquale (Series 4 – 2004)

Comedian Joe Pasquale won the fourth series of I’m A Celebrity – the second of two editions in 2004. His victory earned him ITV special An Audience with Joe Pasquale the following year. He still pops up on TV and has guest-hosted The Paul O’Grady Show and The Nightly Show.

Joe has been married twice. His first marriage to Alison ran from 1978 to 1986, and they share children Kerry, Vicky and Dani. He later married Debbie, and they had son Joe Tracini, an actor best known as Dennis Savage in Hollyoaks.

Kerry Katona (Series 3 – 2004)

Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona became the show’s first female winner in early 2004, just months after husband Brian McFadden left her for Delta Goodrem. She was briefly hailed Celebrity Mum of the Year and fronted Iceland’s adverts before spiralling into addiction and being diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

She married taxi driver Mark Croft on Valentine’s Day 2007 and welcomed daughter Heidi six days later. They split in 2011 and Kerry moved on with rugby league player George Kay. She almost died giving birth to their daughter Dylan-Jorge in 2014 and later said the trauma contributed to George’s downward spiral.

They married in 2014 but split the following year after Kerry filed assault charges, reunited in 2015, and finally ended things after another meltdown in 2017. George died in 2019 after a suspected overdose. Kerry is now with nutrition expert Ryan Mahoney.

Last year she released memoir Kerry Katona: Whole Again, detailing the abuse she suffered in that relationship, and landed her first presenting job in 20 years on BBC Radio Five Live. She’s also been touring with friend and fellow ex-campmate Katie Price, sharing wild stories from their chaotic lives.

Phil Tufnell (Series 2 – 2003)

Cricketer Phil Tufnell became King of the Jungle in 2003 soon after retiring. He went on the reality TV circuit, taking part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 and The Jump in 2015, and turned into a TV staple on shows like The Chase. He was a team captain on A Question of Sport from 2005 to 2015 and later worked as a commentator for Australia’s Seven Network on BBL and Sri Lanka Test matches.

Phil has been married three times – to Alison Squires, then Lisa Bar, and, since 2005, Dawn Brown. He has two daughters, one with ex Jane McEvoy and one with Lisa. He returned to I’m A Celeb in 2023 for the All Stars series filmed in South Africa and finished third.

Tony Blackburn (Series 1 – 2002)

Radio legend Tony Blackburn was crowned the very first King of the Jungle in 2002. Afterward he continued his BBC radio work, but in 2016 he was abruptly sacked following the Dame Janet Smith Review into Jimmy Savile’s abuse, which referenced him in relation to a past investigation.

Tony strongly denied any wrongdoing and said he was “devastated” to be let go. He was reinstated later that year after threatening legal action. In 2016 he also underwent prostate surgery after waking in severe pain, but was told he did not have cancer.

Now in his eighties, Tony is still not ready to call it a day. He continues to host on BBC Radio – including a regular Sunday show on Radio 2 – and last year celebrated an extraordinary 60 years on air. As he puts it: “I love what I’m doing so what’s the point in retiring? When you give up and become retired, you have nothing to do. You’ve got to have something to keep your brain working – I love it.”
