Dianne Buswell looked every inch the glowing mum-to-be as she cradled her growing baby bump during a deeply personal baby shower hosted by her family in Australia.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional, 36, is expecting her first child with longtime partner Joe Sugg, 34, and shared a series of heart-warming snaps from the celebration on Instagram.
Spending Christmas Down Under with her parents, Dianne revealed it was her family who secretly organised the shower, transforming the house into a cosy, love-filled space for the special occasion. Wearing a flowing blue floral maxi dress and a sweet satchel reading “mum to be”, Dianne beamed as she posed beside her proud parents, Rina and Mark, with the decorations and treats laid out behind them.
The couple’s excitement was unmistakable as they stood in front of a table laden with sweet party treats. In one playful moment, Dianne’s family even set the expectant parents a tongue-in-cheek “practice test”, asking them to dress dolls in front of the guests. While Joe appeared to struggle, Dianne looked completely at ease, holding her fully dressed doll and watching on with a knowing smile.
Sharing the photos, she wrote that it was “our Australian baby shower with the family” and thanked her close circle and Mia for putting so much effort into making the day “so fun and special”.
The comments quickly filled with love from her Strictly co-stars. Vito Coppola told the couple he couldn’t wait, adding that everyone was so excited to meet their baby boy. Amy Dowden reacted with blue hearts and emotional emojis, while Nancy Xu said she couldn’t wait to meet “our little boy”. Former Strictly winner Ellie Leach simply called the scenes “so beautiful”.
The joyful update comes after Dianne admitted back in November that her bump had “popped”, joking that getting dressed for Strictly was becoming more of a challenge. The couple announced the pregnancy in September with a tender video set to Elton John’s Tiny Dancer, ending with a drawing of two stick figures – one with Dianne’s trademark red hair – holding hands with a baby.
