Tess Daly and Vernon Kay may have stunned fans by announcing the end of their 22-year marriage, but behind the scenes, their two daughters are said to be coping well with the family’s new chapter.
According to a close family friend, Phoebe, 21, and Amber, nearly 17, are “happy with the arrangement” following their parents’ amicable separation.

A source told the Daily Mail: “It sounds bizarre but everyone is actually happy with the arrangement. The relations between Tess, Vernon and their children are really close and strong. Their main priority was their girls.”
The revelation comes shortly after Tess, 57, shared a sweet picture with Phoebe during a reunion in Eton, Berkshire. Phoebe, who has moved to New York, was back in the UK for a few days, and Tess appeared determined to enjoy every moment with her lookalike daughter.
She captioned the post: “Got my Phoebe back for a few days and making the most of every moment.”
Tess and Vernon confirmed their split in a joint statement, saying: “After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably.”

They added: “This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us.”
The former couple insisted they remain “great friends” and are “fully committed” to being loving and supportive parents.
They also made clear: “There are no other parties involved in this decision.”
Vernon recently opened up about fatherhood as his daughters grow older, telling The Times: “Now that Phoebe is 21 and Amber is nearly 17, our relationship with them is changing.”
He added: “We talk about encouraging them to leave the nest and be independent, but we don’t really want them to.”
