Coleen Nolan couldn’t hold back tears as she introduced her newborn grandson, Sidney Ray, to the world on Instagram Friday night. The Loose Women star, 60, became a grandmother for the third time after her daughter Ciara, 24, gave birth to a healthy baby boy earlier this week.
Sharing a tender photo cradling baby Sidney, Coleen confessed she was “almost lost for words” while describing the “unbelievable range of emotions” she felt — from love and pride to relief and joy. “Introducing my little grandson, Sidney Ray. Born on 29/10/25, weighing a whopping 9lb 10 — so we’re all pleased it was a planned C-section,” she wrote, adding that both mum and baby were doing brilliantly.
Coleen then addressed Ciara directly, saying, “What a gift to have gone through this whole journey with you (apart from the haemorrhoids). You and Max are already taking to parenting like ducks to water. You’re both going to be the best mum and dad to Sid.”
Ciara had first announced the arrival of her baby boy on Thursday, sharing photos from her hospital bed with fiancé Max Innes and writing: “Sidney Ray Innes. 29/10/2025. So proud of all three of us. I have carried him for nine months, but Max — you have carried us all this whole time.”
Congratulatory messages quickly poured in, with Loose Women alum Saira Khan commenting, “Oh my god guys! So happy for you – the coolest parents on the planet!” Reality star Charlotte Dawson also gushed, “Congrats babe, he’s beautiful.”
This is Coleen’s third grandchild — she’s already “Nana” to Shane Jr’s daughter Amelia, born in 2016, and Jake’s son, born last year.
Ciara’s joyous news comes just a year after she got engaged to Max during a magical holiday in Vietnam. She shared a photo from the romantic boat proposal, writing, “It was like a fairytale — I can’t wait to spend forever with you.”
Coleen, overjoyed by the engagement at the time, joked online: “I’m so delighted that Max has asked my beautiful girl to marry him. Off to buy a hat!”
Coleen shares Ciara with her ex-husband Ray Fensome, whom she divorced in 2018. She also has two sons, Shane, 36, and Jake, 33, from her previous marriage to actor Shane Richie.
