Tears, Gin and a ‘Big Reveal’: The Emotional Moment That Stopped Fletcher’s Farm in Its Tracks. Liz Didn’t See It Coming: Kelvin’s Surprise Leaves Her Laughing, Crying… and Reaching for a Tonic

Fletcher’s Family Farm returned this week with one of its most heartfelt moments yet, as Liz Marsland was visibly moved to tears when husband Kelvin Fletcher revealed the couple’s latest creation from their Peak District homestead.

The ITV reality series—now in its third season—follows Kelvin, Liz and their four children as they embrace their fourth year of farming on their idyllic 120-acre plot, which they recently opened as a wedding venue. But Sunday’s episode delivered a milestone none of them expected to feel quite so deeply.

Kelvin gathered Liz for what he called “the big reveal”, proudly presenting several boxes that had just arrived in the post. With a grin, he told her that after years of dreaming and months of work, they could now officially add their own gin to their growing list of farm-made products.

He reminded her that she once surprised him with handmade blankets and said: “We had the idea of using everything we’ve foraged from the hedgerows, spring water, and curating our own gin. Well, it’s here, in bottle form, ready to taste.”

Liz’s eyes widened. “So, you’ve done it?” she asked, amazed. Kelvin then unveiled the very first bottle of Wincle Peak gin—now available on the farm’s online shop.

As Kelvin read aloud the heartfelt message printed on the bottle, Liz grew emotional, letting out a shaky laugh as she wiped away a tear. Kelvin teased her: “You’ve got tears in your eyes,” and she admitted she didn’t know whether to “laugh or cry”.

Still, she loved the green-tinted bottle design and approved the product with a warm smile. Later, after taking her first sip, Liz delivered her hilarious verdict: “It needs a tonic, but it’s very good!”

Kelvin summed up the moment with pride, saying: “We are a family, we’re not master distillers. We’ve taken ingredients from our little farm and created a drink, hopefully for people to enjoy.”
