“Yes in the South of France!” This Morning Star Nick Ferrari Announces Engagement After Romantic Holiday Proposal
TV presenter and veteran journalist Nick Ferrari has delighted fans by revealing he is getting married — after proposing to long-time partner Clare Patterson during a romantic getaway in the South of France.
The This Morning regular, 65, popped the question over Christmas while dining with Clare, his partner of ten years. Speaking on the ITV show alongside Alison Hammond, Dermot O’Leary, and Ashley James, Nick shared the happy news during a light-hearted discussion about weddings.
“I’m getting married in the South of France later this year,” he said, laughing. “You don’t know how many friends you’ve got until you announce a wedding abroad — suddenly everyone wants to come!”
Nick, who was previously married to Sandra Phylis Conolly and shares two sons with her, said Clare even helped design her own engagement ring. Joking about the proposal, he recalled to presenters Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley: “We went to a DIY store and kept getting down on one knee.”
After a decade together, Nick and Clare are finally tying the knot — a fresh chapter for the broadcaster whose career spans more than 40 years across print, radio, and television.
