Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has delighted fans by showing off her blossoming baby bump, months after admitting she initially worried pregnancy might overwhelm her.
The 36-year-old dancer, who is expecting her first child with long-term boyfriend Joe Sugg, 34, shared a series of warm, intimate snaps on Instagram, offering a glimpse into how she’s really feeling as her body changes.
Dianne and Joe, who fell in love after being paired on Strictly in 2018, announced their pregnancy back in September and have since kept fans closely updated on their journey to parenthood.
Alongside the photos, Dianne reflected honestly on her emotions, admitting she hadn’t expected to feel so positive. She wrote that she genuinely thought her changing body would stress her out, but instead described the experience as “really magical”.
Fans flooded the comments with praise, with one telling her she looked “amazing”, while others described the snaps as “gorgeous” and “wonderful”.
The update comes shortly after the couple revealed they have chosen a “unique” name for their baby boy – though they are keeping it firmly under wraps. Speaking on YouTube, Joe explained they wouldn’t be sharing the name or the due date, joking that he fears they might accidentally let it slip before the birth.
He teased that the name isn’t something people see often, though it can be shortened and works just as well for a child as it would for an adult. Dianne jokingly compared it to classic names that grow with you, while Joe laughed that, for now, the baby is simply being called “Derek” to avoid any slip-ups.
The couple have also opened up about how nerve-wracking it was to share their pregnancy news with loved ones. Dianne admitted she was more nervous than she had ever been, explaining that the moment felt so big she almost put it off. Joe agreed, adding that telling friends and family was far more daunting than announcing the news publicly.
Dianne also joked that Joe tends to get emotional every time he tells someone new about becoming a dad.
The pair first shared their happy news on Instagram in September with a sweet post showing stick-figure drawings of themselves and their future baby, alongside the year 2026. They wrote at the time that they couldn’t wait to meet their little baby boy.
