“She Was the Last to See Her Alive”: Caroline Flack’s Best Friend Speaks Out as New Doc Exposes the Truth. On what would’ve been Caroline Flack’s 45th birthday, her best friend Lou Teasdale shared unseen memories — as Caroline’s mum finally speaks the truth the world was never meant to hear

Lou Teasdale, the celebrity stylist and close friend of late Love Island host Caroline Flack, has broken her silence with a series of heartfelt posts to mark what would have been Caroline’s 45th birthday — just as a new Disney+ documentary revisits the tragedy that shocked Britain.

The 42-year-old mum-of-one from Yorkshire shared a touching set of Instagram stories on Sunday, November 9, showing moments of laughter and friendship with Caroline. One black-and-white photo captured them smiling together in a hot tub with the caption, “happy birthday nice friend.” Another, showing the two playing in the sea, read, “I miss you a lot,” followed by a white heart emoji.

Lou also posted the quote, “In a world where you can be anything, be kind” — a phrase that became synonymous with Caroline’s legacy after her death in 2020.

Lou, who shares daughter Lux, 14, with her ex Tom Atkin and is now dating footballer Andy Carroll, was the last person to see Caroline alive. The pair met in their 20s while working on The X Factor — Caroline as presenter, Lou as stylist — and became inseparable, sharing nights out, holidays, and private conversations about mental health struggles.

The two-part Disney+ documentary, which includes unseen footage and unheard voice notes from Caroline, also features her mother Christine Flack, who has spoken out to challenge the official narrative surrounding her daughter’s death. Christine says: “People think they know what happened to Caroline, but the reality is much darker. There’s so much information the public haven’t seen. I want the truth to come out.”

Caroline died by suicide in February 2020 at age 40, shortly before she was due to stand trial for allegedly assaulting her boyfriend, Lewis Burton — claims her mother has labelled as “untrue.”
