Romeo Beckham Makes Explosive Met Gala Debut As Brooklyn Beckham ‘Avoids’ Awkward Family Reunion Amid Bitter Beckham Feud

Romeo Beckham stepped into the Met Gala spotlight for the very first time on Monday night — but one familiar Beckham face was nowhere to be seen.

The 23-year-old son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham made a stylish entrance at the prestigious fashion event in New York, while his estranged older brother Brooklyn Beckham skipped the gala entirely, fuelling speculation he was deliberately avoiding an awkward family encounter.

Fans had been eagerly anticipating whether the famously feuding Beckham brothers would cross paths on the iconic Met Gala staircase at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. But Brooklyn, who had previously become a regular fixture at the event with wife Nicola Peltz, was absent for the second consecutive year.

Instead, all eyes were on Romeo as he attended the glamorous night as a guest of Burberry. The rising fashion figure appeared confident and composed as he posed alongside supermodel Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Burberry’s Chief Creative Officer Daniel Lee.

Romeo wore a sleek double-breasted jacket with leather lapels, paired with a matching shirt and tie, creating one of his boldest fashion moments to date. Rosie meanwhile stunned in a dark brown gown featuring dramatic ruching and a daring thigh-high slit.

Behind the glamour, however, the Beckham family tensions continue to dominate headlines. Romeo and Brooklyn reportedly have not spoken for more than a year amid the family fallout that has rocked “Brand Beckham.”

Shortly after Romeo’s red carpet appearance, younger brother Cruz Beckham publicly showed support by posting a photo of Romeo on Instagram alongside the song Life Is A Highway, writing: “There he is!”

Brooklyn’s absence became even more noticeable after he also remained silent during David Beckham’s recent 51st birthday celebrations — despite the rest of the family flooding social media with emotional tributes.

Victoria shared cheerful footage of David receiving an unusual birthday gift from her and the children: chickens for the family’s £15 million Cotswolds estate. Romeo later posted childhood photos with his father, calling him “My best mate,” while Cruz and Harper Beckham also shared heartfelt birthday messages.

The family rift exploded publicly earlier this year when Brooklyn reportedly declared he no longer wanted to be associated with “Brand Beckham,” accusing his family of being “performative.” According to reports, Brooklyn and Nicola even requested communication with David and Victoria go through lawyers.

Victoria recently addressed the painful estrangement for the first time, insisting: “We love our children so much. We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be.”

Despite the ongoing drama, Romeo’s Met Gala debut marked a major personal milestone — and with Brooklyn nowhere in sight, the night unfolded without the uncomfortable reunion many had expected.
