Peter Andre Fires Back at ‘Nepo Baby’ Critics as Daughter Princess Celebrates Major TV Renewal – and with Princess landing two more ITV seasons, it’s clear this family’s success runs deeper than a surname

Peter Andre has fiercely defended children of celebrities after his daughter Princess Andre, 18, announced that her ITV reality show The Princess Diaries will return for two more seasons in 2026.

In his New! Magazine column, the 51-year-old star addressed the ongoing “nepo baby” debate, insisting that famous offspring still have to “work hard and be talented” to stay successful.

Referring to Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s daughter Apple, who has faced the same scrutiny, Peter said he sympathises deeply: “I can understand her frustration. At the end of the day, whether it’s a family of actors, dentists, or teachers, it’s only natural that kids might follow in their parents’ footsteps because they’ve been around it all their lives.”

Peter continued: “I don’t know why we single out young people in the entertainment industry for criticism. Even if someone gets an opportunity, they have to prove themselves through hard work.”

Princess, his daughter with ex-wife Katie Price, has followed both parents into showbiz, and her TV debut clearly resonated with viewers. Sharing the exciting update with fans, Princess gushed: “I want to thank everyone who showed love for season one of The Princess Diaries. I’m so excited to tell you that not one, but two more series are coming in 2026!”

Meanwhile, Peter’s son Junior, 19, is carving out his own musical path. The budding singer told OK! Magazine: “I’m my own man. I learn from myself — just like my parents did. You live and you learn.”
