Former Made in Chelsea stars and BBC Radio 1 presenters Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo have announced they are expecting their first child, sharing the joyful news with fans via an adorable ultrasound video on Instagram.
The heart-melting clip shows Sophie undergoing a scan, with Jamie capturing the moment the baby appears on screen. Unable to contain his excitement, Jamie exclaims: “Are you kidding me?” before turning the camera to Sophie, who beams with joy as they listen to their baby’s heartbeat.

The couple’s announcement comes two years after tying the knot in a romantic civil ceremony in London in April 2023, followed by a lavish wedding celebration in Marbella a month later with over 200 guests. Since then, their relationship has blossomed not just personally but professionally, as they co-host their hit podcast NewlyWeds and share the mic on BBC Radio 1.

Jamie and Sophie, whose love story began on Made in Chelsea, have been candid about their life journey together—documenting their wedding planning on the podcast NearlyWeds, which later evolved into NewlyWeds. The show became a fan favourite until the couple recently announced a short hiatus.
Reactions to the pregnancy news have been overwhelmingly positive. Fellow reality stars and fans rushed to congratulate the couple. Love Island alum Molly-Mae Hague wrote: “Congratulations guys!!!!”, while Sophie’s sister Georgia Habboo gushed: “I can’t wait to be an auntie!!!!”
As the Laings prepare to welcome their newest family member, one thing is certain—their love story is only just beginning a beautiful new chapter.
