Alongside a simple sketch of a tree, Millie and Jake wrote: “This summer, we welcomed our sweet baby girl through adoption. We are beyond excited to embark on this beautiful next chapter of parenthood in both peace and privacy.” The post ended with the touching line: “And then there were 3,” signed off by both Millie and Jake.
Within just half an hour, their announcement racked up more than 250,000 likes, with fans flooding the comments with congratulations. The post was accompanied by the Beatles classic Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da, underscoring the couple’s joy at becoming a family.
Millie, 21, and Jake, 23, tied the knot last year after getting engaged in 2023. At the time, Jake shared a photo from their wedding captioned “Forever and always, your husband,” while Millie echoed with “Forever and always, your wife.”
Earlier this year, Millie had spoken about her dreams of motherhood on the SmartLess podcast. She admitted that starting a family was “a huge thing” for her and revealed she had always considered adoption as a path to parenthood. She explained: “Of course, I want to focus on really establishing myself as an actor and producer, but I also find it so important to start a family. Jake knows how important it is to me. For me, I don’t see having your own child as really any different from adopting.”
