Former Emmerdale actor Kelvin Fletcher shared a heartfelt and personal update during a recent appearance on ITV’s Lorraine, revealing a sad loss that occurred on his family farm.
The 41-year-old, best known for playing Andy Sugden, appeared on the April 2 edition of the show via video link with his wife Liz Marsland. The couple spoke candidly about life on the farm, including the joys and challenges of lambing season.

However, the conversation took a somber turn when Kelvin revealed that one of their sheep, who had been expecting triplets, tragically lost one of her lambs shortly after giving birth.
“These are the twins,” Kelvin said, introducing the two surviving lambs. “We’ve actually named them both. Sadly, the mother suffered a prolapse and was carrying triplets—we lost the first one. But luckily, we managed to save the other two. They were very small when born, just four or five days old now.”

Lorraine Kelly, who has followed Kelvin’s farming journey closely, reflected on how much his life has changed—from acting and appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, to nearly moving to Hollywood, and now raising animals in the countryside.
“It’s amazing how life turns out,” she remarked. “You were set to go to Los Angeles, with auditions lined up, but then COVID hit. Now you’ve gone from Hollywood dreams to life on a farm!”
Kelvin smiled and replied: “From Hollywood to Cheshire—definitely not what I had planned. But with our family, it’s a life we never imagined, and now we can’t imagine living any other way.”
