Kelsey Grammer has become a father for the eighth time after welcoming a baby boy named Christopher with his fourth wife, Kayte Walsh.
The 70-year-old Frasier legend shared the joyful news during an appearance on Pod Meets World, saying with a wide grin: “Just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids! It was like three days ago. Christopher just joined the family.”

It’s been four months since DailyMail.com confirmed that Kelsey and Kayte — who have been married for 14 years — were expecting their fourth child together. At the time, a source close to the couple said the pregnancy had “reignited the spark between them.”
“Kelsey is thrilled to finally have the time to fully enjoy being a father all over again,” the insider said. “After giving Frasier one last go, he’s ready for the next phase of his life — embracing the hands-on parenting he missed in the past.”
The couple already share daughter Faith, 13, and sons Kelsey Gabriel, 11, and Auden James, 8.

Grammer’s journey as a father stretches across four decades. He first became a dad in 1983 with daughter Spencer, now 42, from his first marriage to Doreen Alderman. He later welcomed daughter Kandace Greer, 33, with ex Barrie Buckner, followed by Mason, 24, and Jude, 21, with third wife Camille Meyer.
The Emmy-winning actor has also enjoyed working alongside his children — recently appearing with Greer in season two of the Frasier reboot, and co-starring with Spencer in the Lifetime movie The 12 Days of Christmas Eve.

Reflecting on his growing family, Kelsey said last year that nothing brings him greater joy than seeing all his children together: “My work has allowed me to do that. It’s been painful and challenging and tragic at times — but boy, it’s a great life. And I want to pass that on to them.”
Up next, Grammer will star in The Christmas Ring (in theaters November 6), the George Washington biopic Young Washington (2026), and Marvel’s Avengers: Doomsday (2026).
