Katie Price has revealed the emotional toll her time on Loose Women took on her, admitting she “hated” the experience and vows never to return. Speaking candidly during a Q&A session at Cambridge University, the former glamour model, now 46, opened up about her three-year stint on the ITV panel show from 2015 to 2018 — a period she now associates with personal turmoil.

“I hated doing that show,” she confessed. “No one knew, but it was during the start and the middle of my breakdown. I hid it really well, but I wasn’t well.”
Katie explained that the tightly controlled format of Loose Women made it a difficult environment for her. “You have in-ears and they tell you when you can and can’t speak,” she said. “It’s like, ‘Kate, don’t interrupt,’ ‘Don’t say that,’ and it’s quite hard to be yourself.”
Despite enjoying time with her fellow panellists, she made it clear: “I wouldn’t ever do that show again.”
Reflecting on her journey, Katie added: “Those were horrible days. Maybe I should have my own presenting show. I’ve never done that before — but it would have to be late night. There’s no filter with me!”

Katie has previously spoken about her mental health struggles, detailing how a robbery and sexual assault in South Africa in 2018 led to PTSD, a breakdown, and eventually a suicide attempt. She was later treated at The Priory clinic and has since used her platform to speak openly about trauma and recovery.
In her autobiography, she described the terrifying South Africa incident: “I kept thinking, ‘Is this really happening?’ It felt like a nightmare. Two men were trying to get into the other car with the crew while others were surrounding us.”
Today, she continues to rebuild her life, with strength and honesty at the heart of her message.
