Kate’s Mini-Me! Princess Charlotte, 11, stole the spotlight at Trooping the Colour as she stepped out in a matching blue-and-white outfit with Princess Kate. Royal fans couldn’t help but call her Kate’s “mini-me”, while others once again noticed her remarkable resemblance to a young Queen Elizabeth II

Princess Charlotte delighted royal fans as she stepped out in a coordinated blue-and-white outfit with her mother, the Princess of Wales, during this year’s Trooping the Colour celebrations in London.

The 11-year-old royal joined her brothers George, 12, and Louis, eight, for King Charles’s official birthday parade, arriving alongside the Prince and Princess of Wales before taking part in the traditional carriage procession.

Charlotte looked elegant in a white and blue collared dress, complete with a sweet bow in her hair, while Kate chose a matching Catherine Walker coat dress, creating a striking mother-daughter fashion moment that quickly captured attention.

Royal watchers have often remarked on how much Charlotte resembles members of her famous family. A recently released birthday portrait sparked comparisons to her father, Prince William, while many fans have also noted her uncanny likeness to a young Queen Elizabeth II.

Crowds lining the streets greeted the royal family with loud cheers as they made their way to the historic event, one of the most important fixtures in the royal calendar.

Trooping the Colour dates back to the 18th century and remains one of Britain’s grandest ceremonial occasions. This year’s parade holds particular significance as the Grenadier Guards celebrate their 370th anniversary.

The event marks the fourth Trooping the Colour of King Charles’s reign following the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.

Charles himself has a long history with the ceremony. He first attended the parade in 1951, aged just three, travelling in a carriage with Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother and Princess Margaret. In 1975, he rode in the procession for the first time as Colonel of the Welsh Guards.

In recent years, the Buckingham Palace balcony appearance has become noticeably smaller, with only working members of the Royal Family taking part. Joining the King and Queen this year are the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children, the Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remain absent from the celebrations, while Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who are not working royals, are also missing from this year’s festivities.

But it was Charlotte and Kate’s perfectly coordinated appearance that stole the spotlight, with many royal fans once again hailing the young princess as her mother’s “mini-me”.
