Kate Garraway found herself in an embarrassing on-air blunder on Friday’s Good Morning Britain when her microphone picked up every whisper she made to co-host Adil Ray — leaving viewers both baffled and amused.
During a live segment about the recent prison release errors, the 58-year-old presenter leaned over and whispered, “Okay, let’s have a look… okay, will somebody look at these?” completely unaware that her mic was still live.

Social media immediately erupted with confusion. One viewer joked, “What was that freaky whispering?” while another complained, “@GMB why can I hear Kate whispering over the conversation?” Dozens more chimed in, saying, “Kate! We can hear you!” as the chatter continued on air.
Despite the chaos, the show carried on without any mention of a technical issue. Later in the broadcast, Kate and Adil turned their attention to the explosive Celebrity Traitors finale, where Alan Carr took home the £87,500 prize after deceiving his co-stars.

But it wasn’t just her mic mishap that had fans talking this week. The day before, Kate had reignited her on-screen tension with Clare Balding when the two reunited on Good Morning Britain. What began as a book promo quickly spiralled into a live TV debate, with Kate defending herself after Clare accused her of “starting trouble again.”
The pair, who famously clashed on The Celebrity Traitors, exchanged sharp words as Kate snapped that Clare was “the first person to call me suspicious” — prompting Ed Balls to step in and quip that the argument was “better than watching TV.”

Whether it’s a hot mic or an old feud, Kate Garraway continues to make Good Morning Britain unmissable morning chaos.
