“I WON’T LET THIS DEFEAT ME”: TOWIE star Jordan Brook has shared a heartbreaking health update as he continues his battle with viral meningitis and encephalitis, revealing he is enduring a painful “mental battle” while still in hospital

TOWIE star Jordan Brook has shared a heartbreaking new health update as he continues battling viral meningitis and encephalitis, revealing he is now facing an agonising “mental battle” while still in hospital.

Earlier this month, Jordan disclosed that he had been diagnosed with two viruses causing swelling on his brain. The reality star explained that he is suffering from a viral form of meningitis, as well as encephalitis — a rare and potentially life-threatening inflammation of the brain — and has now spent two weeks in hospital as doctors try to stabilise his condition.

In his latest update, Jordan admitted he had briefly felt as though he was turning a corner, only to find himself stuck in a painful and exhausting plateau. Sharing photos that showed his body covered in bruises, he told fans: “Hospital update. Sadly after turning a bit of a corner on Friday I feel I have reached a plateau in hospital.”

He then revealed the brutal physical toll his treatment has taken, saying: “Canulas are failing to stick I have had over 30 fitted. My body feels battered and bruised and is struggling to accept my anti viral medication. I am tired, exhausted and feel like I have gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson.”

Jordan also opened up about the neurological impact of the illness, admitting: “Still suffering with pressure on the frontal lobes of my brain. Really fighting a mental battle at the moment. Thank you to everyone for your continued support I could really do with some positivity. I will not let this win!”

Just days earlier, the former TOWIE favourite had revealed that he was still too weak to walk. In an emotional post from hospital, Jordan shared a photo of himself in a wheelchair beside his pregnant partner Sophie Kasaei, who is expecting their first child together. Resting his head on her arm, he wrote: “Lord give me strength. Get me home to my boy.”

He added: “5 mins of fresh air off the ward this morning with my everything. Still not got the strength to walk and am super weak all over my entire body. Thank you for holding me up all the way through this @sophiekasaei_. Still a long way to go in this battle but we are getting there.”

Sophie, who is seven months pregnant, has also spoken candidly about the terrifying ordeal, previously describing the past few weeks as the “worst month” of their lives. She said Jordan had suffered seizures and called the situation a “scary time”, writing: “Popped back home for a little rest after being at the hospital with my darling all day. Still such a scary time but everyday Jord shows strength that we won’t let this awful condition beat him.”

She said their unborn baby is what is helping them all keep going, and added that anyone who has seen a loved one suffer from meningitis would understand just how frightening the condition can be. Reassuring followers, Sophie wrote: “Seizures are scary to witness but he’s in safe hands. We are all there for him right now and I’m being looked after by my family too.”

Earlier in his illness, Jordan also shared a video from his hospital bed, explaining that his condition had left him unable to properly speak. “This is the first time I’ve really been able to speak strong enough about what’s going on,” he said, as he finally told fans the full extent of his diagnosis.

Now, as he remains in hospital fighting both the physical pain and the emotional strain of the illness, Jordan’s determination is clear. Despite the terrifying setbacks, he is refusing to give in — and clinging to the hope of getting home to Sophie and their baby boy.
