Former Big Brother winner Nadia Almada left fans stunned after emerging heavily bandaged and bruised following a facelift procedure in Turkey.
The reality TV legend, now 49, was photographed leaving Istanbul’s Trio Clinic looking almost unrecognisable as she recovered from the gruelling cosmetic surgery. Nadia’s face was wrapped tightly in black support bandages, while visible bruising and dressings covered her nose, forehead and lips.

Dressed casually in loose jeans and trainers, the former reality star appeared emotional and exhausted as assistants helped her into a waiting luxury vehicle before she headed for aftercare treatment at Acibadem International Hospital.
Nadia first rose to fame in 2004 after making television history as the first transgender contestant to win Big Brother UK. Over the years, she has spoken openly about her struggles with identity, fame, discrimination and body image.

The surgery comes after a turbulent period for Nadia, who previously revealed she lost six stone following gastric sleeve surgery. She also admitted the recent UK Supreme Court ruling on the legal definition of a woman deeply affected her mental health and confidence.
Speaking emotionally last year, Nadia confessed: “It’s terrifying… the whole idea that we are not a woman based on our sex. It’s very dehumanising.”
She heartbreakingly admitted the ruling triggered intense fears about how society sees her, saying: “Once this happened, it triggered the whole idea of how feminine I am, how people are going to see me… and then I went insane about my identity.”
The TV personality also revealed she would “rather refuse treatment” than wake up in a male hospital ward, explaining how painful the debate around gender identity has become for many transgender people of her generation.

Earlier this year, Nadia reflected on the darker side of celebrity life during an appearance on the Remember Me? podcast. She explained that fame had never brought the happiness people imagined, saying: “Fame is actually the worst side of being a public person.”
Despite the painful recovery, fans online flooded social media with messages of support, with many praising Nadia for continuing to speak candidly about identity, ageing and the pressures placed on women in the public eye.
