“I Was WIPED OUT For Two Days”: I’m A Celeb Star Beverley Callard Shares Emotional Health Update After Champagne Celebration Amid Breast Cancer Battle

Former I’m A Celebrity star Beverley Callard has revealed she was left “wiped out for two days” after celebrating a major milestone in her ongoing breast cancer battle.

The 69-year-old actress, best known for playing Liz McDonald on Coronation Street, opened up to fans in an emotional update after recently receiving positive test results that mean she can finally move forward with radiotherapy treatment.

Bev first revealed her breast cancer diagnosis back in February and has since undergone surgery, medical testing and treatment while continuing to keep supporters updated on her recovery journey.

In a candid video shared online, Beverley admitted that her body simply could not cope after she and her husband Jon opened a bottle of champagne to celebrate the good news.

She explained: “I’ve not really spoken to anyone for a couple of days just because when I got the good news that I can go ahead with radiotherapy, we opened the champagne and had two and a half glasses and it’s wiped me out for two days.

“I’ve been really, really tired and really boring.”

Despite feeling exhausted, the soap legend reassured fans that she is doing well overall and simply needs time to rest and recover.

She added: “So I’m going to go to bed really early tonight and just rest.

“I’ve got loads of people to phone back and everything else, but I’ve just not been able to do it for the last couple of days.

“But I’m feeling fine.”

Alongside the heartfelt clip, Beverley joked in the caption: “Just a little update… feeling good, but super tired! Can’t handle the champers like I used to!”

The emotional celebration came just days after the actress shared another hopeful update regarding the severity of her cancer.

“One of the lymph nodes that they’d sent over for testing to see how aggressive the cancer would be, it’s on low numbers which is really good,” she explained.

“That means I can begin the radiotherapy very soon, which I’m pleased about.”

Her husband Jon also appeared briefly in the video and summed up the emotional rollercoaster the couple have faced together, saying: “What a f*****g journey!”

The latest update comes after Beverley was dramatically forced to leave I’m A Celebrity… South Africa earlier this year on medical grounds following what was described on the show as a “funny turn.”

Months later, she received her devastating breast cancer diagnosis, leading many fans to look back at her health struggles during filming with fresh concern.

Since then, Beverley has continued to win praise for her honesty and resilience as she documents every stage of her recovery with supporters online.
