Three years after her highly publicised split from Paddy McGuinness, Christine McGuinness has made one thing crystal clear — she is still searching for love, but on her own terms.
In a candid appearance on the LGBTQ+ podcast It Started With A Kiss, the 38-year-old mother-of-three revealed she would “love to have a wife one day,” though not necessarily in the traditional sense of marriage. Instead, she described her ideal future as “a blessing, a celebration of love… I would love to just be saying, ‘this is my wife.’”

Christine, who has dated both men and women, described herself as a “five star lesbian” while openly discussing her evolving identity and experiences since her divorce. She admitted she enjoys keeping her personal and romantic worlds separate, explaining that her home life with her children remains her priority, while London offers her a sense of freedom.
She said the balance works for now, but acknowledged it can become complicated when relationships begin to deepen. She explained that partners often reach a point where they want to meet her children or define the future, while she prefers to maintain clear boundaries from the beginning.

Reflecting on her dating life, Christine said she always makes her situation clear early on, including the fact that she does not want more children. This, she noted, can be challenging as many of the women she meets are at a different stage in life.
The former model also spoke about rediscovering herself after her marriage, describing her first romantic experience with a woman post-divorce as “so soft and so nice and so feminine,” admitting she “melted into it” and felt reassured about her identity.
Christine described her current relationships as “situationships” — connections that exist somewhere between casual dating and commitment. She said she enjoys meeting people organically and tends to avoid taking things too seriously, particularly with those in the public eye.

Despite the complexities, she insisted she is embracing this new chapter fully. She described herself as open-minded, passionate, and still learning what works for her after years of being in a long-term marriage.
Christine also spoke about the challenges of dating as a neurodivergent person, explaining that uncertainty can feel overwhelming and sometimes led her to cancel dates early on. Over time, however, she has grown more confident navigating relationships in a way that suits her.
Ultimately, she described the journey as both emotional and empowering, saying she is now enjoying life, love, and the freedom to explore who she truly is — adding that she has already created “some of the wildest memories” along the way.
