The estranged daughter of Sammy Winward has revealed she is pregnant with her first child – but admits her famous mum still has no idea, nearly two years after cutting contact over her OnlyFans career.
Mia Winward-Dunn, 20, announced her pregnancy this week, proudly sharing photos of her blossoming baby bump while confessing the news feels “bittersweet”. Despite the happy milestone, Mia revealed she has not told either of her parents – Emmerdale actress Sammy Winward or her father, former Blackburn Rovers footballer David Dunn – following a painful family rift that began in 2024.

Mia explained that she has deliberately stayed silent because she is emotionally vulnerable during her pregnancy and does not want to invite stress into her life. She admitted she has not reached out to her parents and added that they do not really know how to contact her.
The fallout began when Mia joined OnlyFans, a decision that reportedly led Sammy – best known for playing Katie Sugden on Emmerdale – to cut ties with her daughter. Mia later revealed the situation escalated further when her father allegedly branded her a “w***e” over her choice to work on the adult platform.

Now living a quieter life in the Lake District, Mia says she stopped creating content for OnlyFans “the minute” she found out she was pregnant. She has been in a relationship with the baby’s father for around a year but has chosen not to publicly name him. Reflecting on her new reality, Mia said becoming pregnant has completely changed her perspective, admitting she cannot imagine ever choosing not to speak to her own child.
Although her OnlyFans career cost her both parental relationships, Mia insists she has no regrets. She described the period as one of the best years of her life, travelling the world for shoots and working with people she admired. Still, the pregnancy has brought a sense of longing for moments she never got to share with her mum – including simple experiences like shopping for baby clothes together.

Despite everything, Mia hinted that reconciliation may one day be possible. She admitted there is “a lot to forgive” and acknowledged that the healing process has not even begun yet. While she remains in contact with one unnamed family member, her relationship with both parents remains completely fractured.
In the past, Mia claimed her mother was jealous of her rapid financial success and felt her parents believed she had built her career “off their backs”. She has also spoken openly about feeling empowered by OnlyFans, once revealing she earned significantly more money in just a few days than she ever had before.
As she prepares to become a mother herself, Mia’s story now carries a new emotional weight – one shaped by independence, estrangement, and the unanswered question of whether motherhood might finally reopen the door to her broken family.
