Honeymoon Turns Into a Nightmare: Vicky Pattison and Love Island Star Stranded in Dubai as Flights Are Cancelled — ‘We Are Safe… For Now,’ Vicky Pattison Speaks Out

Reality TV favourite Vicky Pattison has revealed she is stranded in Dubai after flights were dramatically cancelled following a US strike on Iran, triggering chaos across the region.

The former Geordie Shore star had been travelling through the UAE with her husband Ercan Ramadan en route to Sydney when the situation escalated. On Saturday, black smoke was seen billowing across Dubai’s skyline after debris from Iran’s retaliatory missile barrage reportedly struck a hotel on the iconic Palm Jumeirah.

Dubai, long considered a playground for celebrities and influencers, quickly became the centre of global tension as airspace closures rippled across the Middle East.

Taking to Instagram, Vicky addressed growing concern from fans. She wrote that she and Ercan were due to fly to Sydney that evening but, like many others, their flight had been cancelled and they were now effectively stuck in Dubai.

She reassured followers, saying they were safe in their hotel and had been assured there was no immediate danger. Acknowledging the wave of alarming videos circulating online, she admitted the unfolding situation was scary but urged calm, adding that they were trying not to feed unconfirmed narratives and were thinking of everyone feeling unsettled and unsafe.

The attack followed Iran’s vow of revenge after US and Israeli strikes earlier in the day, prompting widespread disruption across regional airspace.

Meanwhile, former Love Island star Laura Anderson had only just arrived in Dubai with her young daughter Bonnie when the crisis erupted.

The reality star initially shared a cheerful video of her hotel room and pool, captioned “Welcome to Dubai”. But hours later, her tone shifted dramatically. Posting against a white background, she wrote: “Horrendous situation, Bonnie and I are fine,” alongside a white heart emoji.

Dubai International Airport has since halted flights indefinitely, while Emirates confirmed it had temporarily suspended operations to and from Dubai due to multiple regional airspace closures. Budget carrier Flydubai has also paused services.

For Vicky and Laura, what was meant to be a glamorous getaway and honeymoon stopover has turned into an anxious wait — as the world watches the escalating crisis unfold.
