Amanda Owen has lifted the lid on why she and estranged husband Clive have yet to make their split official – and she didn’t hold back in taking a dig at him.
The Our Yorkshire Farm star, 51, ended her 22-year marriage in 2022, moving out of their home at Ravenseat Farm while Clive stayed put with their nine children. But despite living separately, the pair are still closely tied through family, work and TV commitments.

When asked about the prospect of rekindling their romance, Amanda was blunt. “What am I supposed to say, ‘We get on like a house on fire’? Well, if we did, we wouldn’t want to separate, would we? He’s still the same annoying old Clive that he always was. I’ve just seen him, and he’s still annoying – I annoy him, and he annoys me,” she told Hello Magazine.
Amanda admitted that the thought of divorce is overwhelming, given their intertwined lives. “How would we even divide that up? Who would get custody of all the sheep, the dogs, and the horses – and who would want custody? It’s just not happening.”

Despite her sharp remarks, Amanda acknowledged that the unusual arrangement works. She and Clive are currently renovating a farmhouse together and filming their spin-off series Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids. Their children Raven, 24, Reuben, 18, Miles, 15, Edith, Violet, 14, Sidney, 13, Annas, 10, Clemmie, nine, and Nancy, eight, remain at the heart of their unconventional setup.
Clive admitted on the show that while the last few years had been “strange,” they had found a way to move forward. “Although we’re not together, we’re still in business, we still have these kids. It’s a crazy situation but the most sensible thing for everybody,” he said.
Amanda also revealed a lighter moment, sharing how Clive rang her in a panic after frying eggs in yellow washing-up liquid, mistaking it for cooking oil. Laughing at the mishap, she added: “We’re up against it, believe me. But that’s reality.”
