Singer-songwriter Lola Young has pulled out of all upcoming shows after collapsing on stage during a performance in New York.
The 24-year-old star of hits like Messy shared a heartbreaking update on Instagram, writing: “I’m going away for a while. It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future. Thank you for all the love and support. I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know. Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund. I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger. Love you all, Lola x.”

Lola collapsed on Saturday while performing her track Conceited at the All Things Go festival in Forest Hills Stadium. Medics rushed to the stage as shocked fans looked on. Just moments before, she had admitted to the crowd: “I wanted to say I had a couple of tricky days. Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue.”
American rapper Doechii, who performed after Lola, urged the crowd to shout “we love you Lola” in support. She added: “She’s an incredibly talented artist, and she wasn’t feeling well tonight. I’m so glad you guys were there to support her and hold her up. Let’s wish her the best.”

This latest scare follows a string of cancellations linked to Lola’s mental health. Just weeks earlier, her manager Nick Shymansky told fans she had pulled out of a major show at Newark’s Prudential Center “due to a sensitive matter.” He explained: “Lola is very open about her mental health and there are occasionally days where myself and my team have to take protective measures to keep her safe.”
The collapse comes shortly after Lola released her third studio album, I’m Only F**ing Myself, and she had been preparing to tour venues across England and Scotland this October.
