Katie Price has revealed that even her own son, Junior Andre, couldn’t hold back his doubts over her lightning-fast marriage to Lee Andrews — grilling her over why she tied the knot just one week after meeting him.
The 47-year-old TV personality stunned fans earlier this year when she wed Andrews, 42, in Dubai in January, despite a storm of controversy surrounding his past and bold claims about his wealth and connections.
Speaking on her podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie admitted Junior, 20, directly confronted her. He asked, Mum, why did you get married so quick?
But Katie was quick to defend her decision — comparing her real-life romance to the hit Netflix dating experiment Love Is Blind.
She explained that she told Junior there’s a show where people fall in love without even seeing each other and still get married, yet no one complains about that concept. She pointed out that, unlike those contestants, she had actually spoken to Lee face-to-face on screen before marrying him — so she couldn’t understand why her relationship had caused such outrage.
Despite growing concern from her family — including sister Sophie, who admitted she didn’t even know the show — Katie remains adamant that her relationship is genuine.
She also hit back at rumours she’s planning to relocate permanently to Dubai, despite claims from Lee that he had bought a £36 million home there for them. Katie insisted she has five children and isn’t about to uproot her life, adding that she wants to get to know Lee better and that there’s no rush.
Her children, including daughter Princess, have yet to meet Lee — but have publicly supported their mum. Junior said she’s her own woman and will do what she wants, while Princess added that as long as their mum is happy, they’re happy too.
Meanwhile, controversy continues to swirl around Andrews. From ambitious claims about buying a stake in Chelsea Football Club to questions over his finances and past relationships, insiders remain sceptical.
But Katie appears unfazed — even revealing she trusted him enough to marry without a prenup.
