He fell, he broke, he hurt – but he didn’t quit. Just weeks after being rushed to hospital, Eamonn Holmes is back where he belongs. “Dream Team Reunited”: Eamonn and Anne’s Surprise GB News Appearance Sparks Nostalgia

Eamonn Holmes returned to GB News on Friday morning to deliver an unexpected update – and fans couldn’t be happier. The 65-year-old presenter, usually joined by Ellie Costello, was instead seen smiling alongside veteran broadcaster Anne Diamond as the pair co-hosted the breakfast slot.

Sharing a cheerful snap on X (formerly Twitter), Eamonn teased the surprise reunion: “TV AM meets GMTV this morning on GB News. Hope u can join Anne and me between 6 and 9.30am.” Viewers immediately flooded him with supportive messages, celebrating the nostalgic pairing.

“You and Anne together brought back so many memories – what a heartwarming way to start the day,” one fan wrote. Another called them “the dream team” and praised their chemistry, while others simply said: “You’re both so good together presenting.”

During the show, the duo discussed the latest headlines, including tensions between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, D-Day remembrance events, and Labour’s shock victory in Scotland.

Eamonn appeared upbeat and healthy – a welcome sight after his recent health scares. Just weeks ago, he revealed on Instagram that he had suffered a fall at home and was rushed to hospital in an ambulance. “An unexpected journey this morning… bit of a fall on the bathroom floor. Gosh it hurts,” he captioned a photo from inside the ambulance.

The broadcaster has been battling chronic back pain since 2021, initially caused by a dislocated pelvis. He later suffered three slipped discs and underwent spinal surgery in 2022. However, his recovery was hindered when he fell down the stairs and broke his shoulder, leading to yet another round of treatment.

Eamonn previously admitted he sometimes feels like he’s “living on borrowed time” after his father died of a heart attack at the same age.

Despite all that, Friday’s on-air moment showed him back in good spirits – and surrounded by admiration.
