Katie Price and Victoria Beckham’s long-running feud has been one of showbiz’s most enduring spats. But now, Katie has shocked fans by offering her former rival a rare compliment.
The glamour model, 47, and fashion icon Victoria, 51, have traded jabs for over two decades, with Katie once claiming Victoria and a pal cruelly sang Who Let The Dogs Out at her during a tense run-in. But on her latest podcast, The Katie Price Show, Katie revealed she actually admired Victoria’s look at one stage.
Discussing short hairstyles with her sister Sophie, Katie said: “Victoria Beckham, I think she really suited short hair. I actually think it can be really sexy on women.”
The unexpected praise is a far cry from the early 2000s, when the feud kicked off over Katie’s then-boyfriend Dane Bowers. Katie accused the Beckhams of influencing her split with the Another Level singer, revealing: “He used to say, ‘Why can’t we be like Victoria and David?’ He just kept comparing us, and I think it went to his head working with her.”
Things escalated when Victoria allegedly branded Katie “vile” on TV, while Katie hit back saying: “She’s got a great husband, a little boy and all the money in the world. She hasn’t got the looks, but you can’t have everything.”
The hostility was so intense that Victoria was even rumoured to have switched flights to avoid sharing a plane with Katie. But Katie’s latest remarks suggest she might finally be ready to bury the hatchet – at least in public.
