A shock rift has emerged between two of reality TV’s rising stars — The Traitors winner Meryl Williams and Married at First Sight UK’s Erica Roberts — bringing their once close friendship and popular podcast to an abrupt end.
The duo, who previously co-hosted the You and Me podcast and frequently posted about their deep bond on social media, have now officially parted ways. Erica, responding to fan frustration on TikTok over the podcast’s silence, revealed that “a lot has happened” and that the podcast is now over — because their friendship is too.
“I loved the podcast. I loved doing it with Meryl,” Erica admitted. “I truly cherished our friendship. But unfortunately, things just didn’t work out.”
The feud became public after fans asked why subscribers who paid for exclusive content hadn’t received updates. Erica addressed the issue directly, explaining that she no longer had access to the Patreon account, which was managed entirely by Meryl. “Maybe give her a message and see if she can help,” Erica added, distancing herself from any responsibility.
In an emotional video, she expressed sadness over how things unfolded and said she was “gutted” by the breakdown. “We both didn’t really know how to navigate the situation… It’s a big shock.”
Meryl, who has not yet commented publicly, is reportedly moving to London — a shift Erica acknowledged while wishing her former friend well. “She’ll smash it down there,” she said, before adding: “If there’s no friendship, there’s no podcast.”
The collapse of their public partnership has left fans reeling, particularly those who paid for premium content. One commenter warned, “Never mix business and friendship,” to which Erica simply replied: “Truth.”
