Emmerdale favourite Danny Miller has stunned fans with a dramatic weight loss transformation, sharing emotional before-and-after photos as he opened up about prioritising himself and celebrating a major personal milestone.
The 35-year-old actor, best known for playing Aaron Dingle in the ITV soap, took to Instagram to reveal just how much he has changed over recent years.
Posting two side-by-side images, Danny showed a striking contrast between his former appearance and his healthier new look. In the older picture, he sported a beard and appeared noticeably more tired, while the latest snap revealed a slimmer face, a sharper jawline and a huge smile.

Reflecting on the transformation, Danny wrote: “It’s not until you see old pictures that you realise how much you’ve changed.”
He added: “Looking at the photo on the left, I remember feeling run down, tired and constantly putting myself at the bottom of the priority list.”
The actor admitted that, like many parents, he had become so focused on taking care of everyone else that he neglected his own wellbeing.
“Like a lot of parents, I was so busy trying to be everything for everyone else that I forgot to look after myself,” he explained.
“To be the best husband I can be. To be the best dad I can be. I first needed to be the best Danny I could be.”
Danny stressed that his new appearance wasn’t about perfection, but about feeling healthier and having more energy for his loved ones.
“The photo on the right isn’t about being perfect. It’s about feeling healthier, happier and having more energy for the people who matter most.”
He concluded: “Still a work in progress, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come.”

Friends and fellow stars were quick to praise the soap actor’s efforts. Celebrity Apprentice co-star Toni Laites jokingly declared: “SKINNY LEGEND!!!!” while former Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent cheered him on with: “Gwannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn Danny Miller.”
Emmerdale colleague Lisa Riley wrote: “Crazy proud,” while former footballer Jill Scott commented: “Looking great Danny!” and comedian Jason Manford added: “Fantastic.”
The transformation comes just weeks after Danny celebrated one year of sobriety, describing the milestone as something he once thought impossible.
In an emotional video shared with fans, he said: “Hi, I’m Danny. I’m 35. And today marks one year of sobriety. One year since I last had a drink.”
“One year of reinventing myself for my family, trying to be better for myself, my children, for my wife, for my family.”
The actor admitted that reaching the anniversary had left him emotional.
“I never in a million years believed this was achievable, genuinely,” he confessed.
Away from the spotlight, Danny and his wife Steph welcomed their third child, son Vincent, in July last year. The couple, who are also parents to Albert and Edith, chose the baby’s name in honour of Danny’s father Vince.
His father is currently battling dementia, with the actor recently sharing updates on the heartbreaking situation.
