Coronation Street cast speak out in support of Jack P. Shepherd amid Celebrity Big Brother eviction threat. JoJo commented, “Jack is just Jack. If you lose your water bottle, he’s not going to help you find it”

Jack P. Shepherd, best known for his role as David Platt on Coronation Street, is currently in the Celebrity Big Brother house – and has found himself at the center of eviction drama.

During Thursday’s episode, the celebrities were asked to nominate who they wanted to be evicted. Jack received a staggering eight nominations – the most of any housemate – from Angellica, Chesney, JoJo Siwa, Patsy Palmer, Trisha Goddard and others. Many housemates described him as distant, overly observant, and not making much of an effort to bond, especially following a recent incident in the house. JoJo commented, “Jack is just Jack. If you lose your water bottle, he’s not going to help you find it.”

The response from fans was swift and passionate. On social media platform X, viewers expressed shock and disappointment: “WHY IS JACK GETTING ALL THE NOMINATIONS?” and “Leave my Jack alone!”

Jack’s Coronation Street co-stars have since shown their full support. On the On The Sofa podcast, Ben Price (Nick Tyldesley) and Colson Smith (Craig Tinker) reflected on the emotional toll. “It made me a bit sad,” Ben admitted. “He looked really down.” Colson added, “He’s had eight nominations in a house of 12 – that’s brutal.”

Samia Longchambon posted a selfie with Jack on Instagram, urging fans to vote to keep him in the house. “We haven’t seen the best of him yet,” she wrote. Meanwhile, Tony Maudsley described Jack as someone with “a wicked sense of humour and a big heart,” and asked fans to give him time: “He’s not there to steal the spotlight – but he will shine.”
