Prince William was caught on camera quietly sharing a few words with wife Kate Middleton following a poignant moment during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – and a lip reader has now revealed exactly what was said.

The 2022 Jubilee marked a rare and tense reunion between Prince William and his estranged brother Prince Harry, who had not appeared at an official royal event since stepping down from duties with Meghan Markle in 2020.
While the two royal couples were seen leaving the service at St Paul’s Cathedral and exchanging brief, polite words, body language experts and lip readers have noted that the interactions were reserved, with a visible distance between the brothers.
Lip-reading specialist John Cassidy claimed that as the couples exited the church, Kate turned to William and remarked softly, “It went very well, very well.” In response, William was seen replying calmly, “Yes, perfect,” suggesting he was quietly pleased with how the day had unfolded.

But Cassidy believes there was more to the exchange — particularly a moment where William offered Kate what he interpreted as “clear instructions,” although the specific words beyond the short confirmation weren’t detailed in the public lip-read analysis.
Despite the strained dynamics behind the scenes, the Prince and Princess of Wales maintained their usual composed and united front. And while their chat may have been fleeting, it has since stirred curiosity about what exactly was said during one of the most emotionally charged royal reunions in recent memory.
