The longtime host welcomed four new players: Dave from Cramlington, Theo from Winchester, Alvin from Devon, and Simone — an American contestant originally from Massachusetts. But it wasn’t the quiz that got people talking. Instead, it was Bradley’s reaction to Simone that sparked fan comments online.
Early on, Bradley appeared genuinely impressed by Simone’s passion for marathon running, smiling as he complimented her finishing times. “I couldn’t do it,” he said with a grin.
Simone raised £4,000 during her cash builder round. When faced with The Dark Destroyer’s offers of £1,000 and £60,000, she opted for the lower offer — a decision that usually draws skepticism. But Bradley voiced no objection. In fact, he seemed relieved when Simone made it through. “You will be needed in that final, have no fear,” he told the team as he warmly congratulated her.
Despite Bradley being happily married since 1997, fans took to social media to tease him about his seemingly soft spot for the “pretty hot” American.
