Brooklyn Beckham responded to David’s emotional peace offering with silence, despite the heartfelt Father’s Day message in which the football legend insisted: “Being a dad is my most important job – I love you all”

Brooklyn Beckham has remained noticeably silent after his father David Beckham made a heartfelt attempt to reach out on Father’s Day amid the family’s ongoing rift.

For the second consecutive year, Brooklyn failed to publicly acknowledge his father on the special occasion, despite the former England captain making it clear that his eldest son remains firmly in his thoughts.

David, who recently turned 51, included Brooklyn in a touching Father’s Day tribute alongside photos of all four of his children. One image showed a young Brooklyn with his famous father, while another captured David with Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper during happier family times.

Alongside the pictures, David wrote: “Being a dad is my most important job – I love you all and thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads around the world.”

Victoria Beckham also shared a nostalgic family photograph featuring David and their four children. She wrote: “David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father’s Day.”

While Romeo and Cruz Beckham publicly celebrated their father with affectionate posts and childhood memories, Brooklyn chose not to respond.

Romeo shared a throwback photograph and wrote: “Happy Father’s Day to the best there is love u so much @davidbeckham.”

Meanwhile, Cruz posted a picture from a childhood fishing trip and added: “happy father’s day dad x I love you.”

As the Beckham family marked the occasion, Brooklyn’s wife Nicola Peltz paid an emotional tribute to her own father, billionaire businessman Nelson Peltz.

Sharing a sweet photograph with her dad, Nicola wrote: “happy father’s day dad! i’m so lucky i get to be your daughter, you’re the best dad in the entire world.”

She continued: “thank you for being the most loving and supportive father i could ever dream of. i love you to the moon and back a trillion times over. thank you for always believing in me and always encouraging me to chase my biggest dreams.”

Nicola also praised her father for teaching her resilience, adding: “you’ve taught me to be so tough and to never give up. (just like you) i love you so so so so much! i hope today is so perfect for you.”

The latest development comes just days after Brooklyn faced criticism over his controversial DoorDash campaign.

The two-part advertisement, which reportedly earned him at least $1 million, sparked accusations that he was capitalising on the ongoing family tensions.

In a teaser clip, Brooklyn appeared to reference his estrangement from his parents when he said: “You’re probably wondering why I’m watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home… It’s a long story.”

The remark prompted backlash online, with some fans accusing him of profiting from the Beckham family drama.

Despite the controversy and the growing distance between them, David appeared determined to leave the door open, publicly including Brooklyn in his Father’s Day message in what many saw as another emotional olive branch.
