Jesse Wood has revealed he is expecting a baby with girlfriend Gemma Gregory, just 16 months after his split from Fearne Cotton — and only weeks after admitting in court that he is living on barely £1,000 a month.
The 49-year-old musician, who is the son of Rolling Stones legend Ronnie Wood, shared the baby news with Made In Chelsea star Gemma, 40, in a sweet Instagram update on Thursday. In one snap, Gemma showed off her growing baby bump in a crop top alongside the caption “incoming”, before posting another loved-up photo with Jesse and joking: “made by these muppets”.

The new arrival will mark another major chapter in Jesse’s already complicated family life. Gemma is already mum to an 11-year-old son from a previous relationship, while Jesse shares two children with Fearne — Rex, 12, and Honey, nine — as well as two adult children with his first wife, Tilly Wood.
The pregnancy announcement has raised eyebrows because it comes so soon after Jesse’s financial struggles were laid bare in court. Appearing before magistrates in January over a speeding offence, he admitted he had been struggling to find steady work since the collapse of his 10-year marriage to Fearne.
He told the court: “I was due to be employed in 2024 but it got delayed. At the moment I’m living off my savings and I am looking to get employment.”

His latest financial records paint an equally bleak picture. Company accounts for Rekognition Sound Limited, where Jesse is the sole director and shareholder, show just £10,943 in the bank — while the company owes creditors £111,903, including £37,352 in bank loans. The most recent accounts, covering the year to the end of November 2024, also show the business is £101,562 in the red, up sharply from £56,211 the year before.
Despite coming from one of Britain’s most famous rock families, Jesse also appears to have little personal security behind him. The former family home in Richmond, south-west London, is registered solely in Fearne’s name, meaning he has no legal claim to the £3.15million property she bought in 2014.
Jesse’s own career has included stints as a guitarist for Reef and other music ventures, but his business fortunes have not matched those of his father Ronnie, whose wealth is estimated at £100million. In October 2025, Jesse stepped down as a director of Reef Band LLP, whose most recent accounts showed it was £710 in the red.

His money troubles first became public as he faced a possible driving ban, having already built up nine penalty points. Magistrates heard that his latest tax return showed a “very low” annual income of around £14,000. He was eventually banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay £255 after being caught doing 27mph in a 20mph zone.
While Jesse’s finances have been under scrutiny, his personal life has moved on quickly. He went public with Gemma in April last year when she posted a sun-soaked photo of him and wrote: “Bloody love this one.”
Their relationship reportedly developed fast after Jesse’s split from Fearne in December 2024. Fearne later moved on with TV director Elliot Hegarty, and Jesse’s stepmother Jo Wood admitted she had been stunned by how quickly everything changed.
Speaking about the breakup last year, Jo said: “I was shocked actually. I didn’t expect Fearne to have a new boyfriend. And Jesse was devastated.”
She added: “But sometimes in life, you have to go through these things. It may be daunting at first, but every cloud has a silver lining. Nothing lasts forever. I hope Fearne will be very happy. I’m sure Jesse’s going to be very happy. These things work out. Their time was up – they had to move on.”
Jesse has not publicly gone into detail about the end of his marriage, but Fearne addressed the breakup during an appearance on Lorraine last March, insisting: “It’s all very amicable and the kids are doing great. I am in a very good place.”
On the very day Jesse shared his baby bombshell, Fearne also posted a personal update of her own, debuting a lighter blonde look — in a striking reminder that both sides have now fully stepped into very different new chapters.
