Adam Peaty’s estranged family have reportedly demanded to be removed from Gordon Ramsay’s upcoming Netflix documentary, as a bitter feud surrounding the swimmer’s engagement and wedding plans continues to spiral.
The Olympic champion’s mother, Caroline, is said to have written directly to Netflix bosses insisting the family did not give consent to be filmed at Adam’s engagement party with fiancée Holly Ramsay. The event, held last December, was captured as part of Being Gordon Ramsay, a documentary series due to air next year.

Sources claim the Peaty family were expecting a response within 14 days of sending the letter. An insider said Caroline made it clear that, “after everything that’s happened,” the family no longer wish to appear in the programme. According to the source, members of Adam’s family were filmed arriving, mingling and even giving a speech during the party.
However, a spokesperson for the Ramsay family has strongly disputed the claims, telling the Daily Mail that the Peatys attended the engagement party knowing it was being filmed. They said filming notices were displayed throughout the venue stating that attendance constituted consent, adding that Adam’s family were not interviewed, had no on-camera speaking roles and are not featured in the final edit — meaning no additional consent was required.

The spokesperson also insisted the request would not delay production, with Gordon Ramsay said to be “excited” for the series to air in early 2026.
The latest row comes amid mounting tensions ahead of Adam and Holly’s lavish Christmas wedding at Bath’s historic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul. The swimmer has reportedly disinvited most of his family after his mother was excluded from Holly’s high-profile hen do at Soho Farmhouse — an event attended by Holly’s mum Tana, Adam’s sister Bethany and even Victoria Beckham.
While Bethany remains close to the couple and was included in the hen celebrations, the snub reportedly triggered a dramatic fallout. Adam’s aunt Louise later publicly criticised the couple on Instagram, while further claims emerged that Caroline had been asked to change her wedding outfit because it did not fit the desired “look”.

According to reports, tensions were already bubbling under the surface during the engagement party itself. One source claimed Caroline confronted Gordon Ramsay at the event, upset that some family members were not invited, despite guests allegedly being asked to sign non-disclosure agreements and surrender their phones during filming.
Being Gordon Ramsay follows the celebrity chef over nine months as he opens five new London restaurants while balancing family life. The engagement footage is believed to capture a rare moment of harmony before relations between the Peatys and the Ramsays dramatically deteriorated.
Representatives for Adam Peaty have been contacted for comment.
