Abbey Clancy Warns Peter: ‘If You Really Loved Me, You’d Buy the Crumpets! From Odeon Nachos to Caviar Crumpets – Abbey Clancy Calls Out Peter Crouch’s Romance Failings

Abbey Clancy has confessed that despite nearly 20 years together, her marriage with Peter Crouch is long overdue for some romantic one-on-one time.

The 39-year-old model revealed on their joint podcast, The Therapy Crouch, that she and her husband hadn’t been on a proper date in “ages”. Abbey told listeners: “I really want to go on a date, I want to go to the cinema. We haven’t been on a date in ages.”

The former Liverpool and England striker, now 44, quickly poked fun at her unusual taste in snacks, after Abbey suggested she’d love to follow up a trip to the cinema with “caviar crumpets”. Peter teased her, saying he remembered when a date at the Odeon meant hot dogs and nachos, not luxury treats.

Abbey, however, doubled down, telling her husband that if he “really loved her” he could pick up the pricey crumpets while taking their sons Johnny and Jack for a haircut. “Please can we have them? They’re the best things I’ve ever had in my life,” she insisted.

The couple – who share four children, Sophia Ruby, Liberty Rose, Johnny, and Jack – first met in a Liverpool bar back in 2006. Abbey recalled how their romance almost ended before it began, explaining: “When we first met, he begged me for my number, and then I went to the loo. When I came back, he was talking to another girl. I was like, ‘How dare you?’”

Peter defended himself at the time, claiming he was “just talking” to the girl. But Abbey was unimpressed and even asked for her number back, to which Peter protested: “You can’t give someone your number and then take it back.”

Despite the rocky start, their relationship flourished and they tied the knot in 2011. Today, they live in a lavish Surrey mansion with its own cinema room, swimming pool, and sprawling gardens, often featured on Abbey’s social media.
