Jade Goody’s grieving mother, Jackiey Budden, made her annual pilgrimage to her daughter’s grave early this morning, carrying Christmas ornaments, flowers and carefully chosen keepsakes — a quiet ritual now overshadowed by an increasingly bitter rift with Jeff Brazier.
Arriving alone at Epping Forest, the 68-year-old was seen wiping down the headstone, arranging festive decorations and hanging photos of Jade’s sons, Bobby and Freddy. One onlooker said Jackiey appeared visibly emotional, explaining that her visit came “after a difficult week of family tension” and renewed struggles involving Jade’s former partner, Jeff.

According to friends, the ongoing turmoil has left her bruised and overwhelmed, making today’s tribute “even more meaningful.” Despite the strained relationships, Jackiey remained determined to decorate Jade’s resting place for Christmas — a tradition she has kept every year since Jade’s death in 2009.

Jade, who rose to fame on Big Brother, was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2008 while appearing on Bigg Boss. She returned to the UK to begin treatment but later learned the cancer had spread extensively. She died on March 22, 2009, aged 27, with her mother by her side.

Jackiey’s sombre visit comes as Jeff Brazier continues efforts to restrict contact between Freddy, now 20, and his grandmother. A source close to Jeff claimed their relationship has long been “detrimental to his wellbeing,” prompting Jeff to intervene for what he believes is Freddy’s safety.
Earlier this year, MailOnline quoted Jackiey insisting, “Do I want to see Freddy? Of course I do. I see Freddy all of the time. I will see him.” A neighbour described feeling sympathy for her, saying she had “been through so much” and hoping the family could one day reunite.

Tensions between Jackiey and Jeff have simmered for years — from her referring to him as a “c**k” after sneaking into the O2 Arena to watch Bobby win his first NTA, to Jeff’s more recent personal struggles. The presenter, 46, has split from his wife Kate Dwyer after seven years of marriage, admitting he and Kate were “upset” but accepting it was time to “let it go.”
Jeff has also faced workplace pressure after scolding Ruth Langsford live on Loose Women, prompting ITV bosses to warn him about managing stress and advise him to take some time off.
As the Brazier family navigates turmoil and Jackiey continues her solitary annual ritual, Jade’s grave — adorned with Christmas ornaments and photographs — stands as a fragile symbol of memories cherished, conflicts unresolved and a family forever reshaped by loss.
