Rylan Clark has thrilled fans with an exciting double career update that’s made 2025 one of his most memorable years yet. The beloved TV presenter and BBC Radio 2 star recently shared on Instagram that his travel documentary Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour has been nominated for a BAFTA in the Factual Entertainment category.

The heartfelt post, featuring a screenshot of the official nominations, was captioned: “I can’t believe I’m saying this… we’re nominated for a @bafta. Thank you so much for watching.” The show, which aired last year, followed Rylan and Robert Rinder as they explored Italy, retracing the footsteps of British cultural icons like Lord Byron in a stunning homage to the classic Grand Tour.
Fans and celebrity friends quickly flooded Rylan’s feed with praise. Ruth Langsford called it “FANTASTIC!” while others described the show as “wonderful” and “totally deserved.” Robert Rinder himself chimed in with a moving message to his co-star: “There is nothing on this earth more to be prized than true friendship. Well done, you clever, kind brilliant human.”
As if a BAFTA nomination wasn’t enough, Rylan also announced his upcoming guest appearance in Doctor Who. He will play himself in a Eurovision-themed special set to air in May, perfectly timed with the real-life song contest. “Getting the call to be in Doctor Who was a dream come true,” Rylan gushed, revealing he’s been keeping the secret for nearly a year. “This episode is all my favourite things about the show – with an added song contest set in space.”
From BAFTA nominations to battling it out on interstellar stages, Rylan is proving that 2025 is truly his year.
