Helen Skelton has melted hearts with an emotional message to Gethin Jones after the two completed a gruelling 24-hour roller-skating challenge for Comic Relief.
The BBC Morning Live stars took part in the Wheely Big Challenge to celebrate 40 years of Comic Relief, raising a jaw-dropping £34 million. But it wasn’t just the money or the miles that got people talking—it was Helen’s words about her co-host.

Sharing touching behind-the-scenes footage of their journey, Helen wrote:
“Still can’t believe it. Overwhelmed by your kindness and incredibly proud of the @bbcmorninglive team for making this happen.”
She added:
“Together, we raised over a million pounds for causes that change lives. We honoured unsung heroes. We broadcasted for 26 hours. It was a privilege.”
But what really stunned fans was her heartfelt tribute to Gethin.
Calling him “a legend,” Helen said:
“I don’t often say this out loud, assuming it’s already known, but for the record – I have so much love and respect for you, my friend. Having you beside me on the rink, the sofa, and beyond means the world.”
Fans immediately lit up the comment section with love and admiration.
“Absolute legends, both of you,” wrote one.
“You brought me to tears,” added another.
“Incredible effort and such a powerful message,” a third said.
Despite Gethin taking a tumble during the challenge, their unshakable bond has only strengthened public love for them. Whether they’re just friends or more, one thing’s for sure—Helen and Gethin are the duo everyone’s rooting for.
