Charlotte Jordan says tearful goodbye to Coronation Street as she leaves Daisy Midgley role after 5 years
Charlotte Jordan has bid a heartfelt farewell to Coronation Street, officially stepping away from her role as Daisy Midgley after nearly five years of dramatic storylines and fan-favourite moments.

The 29-year-old actress shared a touching video message with fans on social media as her final scenes aired, saying: “It’s been such a privilege being part of Corrie history. Thank you all for loving Daisy. I’ll miss this place more than words can say.”
Having joined the ITV soap in 2020, Charlotte quickly became a household name as Daisy—Jenny Connor’s fiery stepdaughter—who caused tension, heartbreak, and even faced trauma after a terrifying acid attack storyline.
Charlotte confessed that filming her final day left her emotionally drained, revealing she cried for hours and was “medically dehydrated” from the tears. Co-stars, including Rob Mallard and Sally Ann Matthews, joined her in the emotional send-off.
In an earlier interview, she reflected: “I’m not normally a crier—but this goodbye hit me hard. Everyone made it so special—my favourite lunch, handwritten cards, hugs, tears. I’ll never forget it.”

The star first announced her departure in January, explaining that it was time to move forward and embrace new opportunities in her career. “It’s the right moment. Daisy’s story has been incredible, but I’m ready for the next adventure,” she said.
A show insider added: “She’s young, driven, and full of ambition. Charlotte gave plenty of notice, allowing writers to craft a brilliant exit. She’ll be deeply missed both on and off screen.”
