“My Baby Stopped Breathing in My Arms” – Stephanie Davis in Tears After Terrifying Emergency with 3-Month-Old Son

Stephanie Davis Reveals Horror as Baby Samuel Stops Breathing for Second Time: “It’s Every Mum’s Worst Nightmare”

Stephanie Davis has opened up about a terrifying ordeal involving her baby boy Samuel, who stopped breathing for the second time—just three months after his birth.

The Coronation Street actress, 32, was close to tears as she shared the traumatic moment when her infant suddenly became unresponsive during a café visit, shortly after a baby sensory class. “We were just having a nice day,” she recalled, “and then all of a sudden he was foaming at the mouth. As a mum, you just lose your head. It’s torture.”

Thankfully, two women nearby—who happened to be hospital workers—stepped in to help and called an ambulance. Stephanie rushed Samuel to hospital, where he underwent multiple procedures, including two lumbar punctures, scans and a course of antibiotics to investigate the cause.

“I’ve just been crying. It’s been such a painful time,” she admitted. “I feel helpless watching him go through it all.”

Stephanie revealed that Samuel had previously been hospitalised just a month ago after a similar breathing episode, which she described as “scary.” She posted a black-and-white photo of her son’s tiny hand in hers, and thanked Whiston Hospital for their care and support during what she called “the scariest time of my life.”

The actress, who shares baby Samuel with partner Joe McKalroy, said that even everyday moments—like walking him in a pram on a windy day—now fill her with anxiety. “He doesn’t like the wind. He holds his breath. It terrifies me that one day he won’t catch it again.”

Stephanie is also mum to eight-year-old Caben from a previous relationship, and admitted that juggling fear and parenting has been overwhelming. “I’m praying this doesn’t happen again. But when he stops breathing, I panic that next time might be different.”
