Peter Andre was visibly shaken after discovering the disturbing messages his teenage daughter Princess receives from men online. The 52-year-old singer appears in the opening episode of her ITV2 reality series The Princess Diaries, where Princess, then 17, opened up about the “dark side” of social media.
Speaking to a friend, Princess revealed that “usually it’s like old men” making inappropriate remarks — sometimes even about her toes — or inviting her on dates. In a candid piece to camera, she said she couldn’t even read one of the latest messages aloud because it was “actually disgusting”.
“I do love my job and interacting with people, but there’s a dark side people don’t see,” she explained. “I’m literally 17 — that’s not OK.”
Later, while spending time with her dad, Princess mentioned the messages again. Alarmed, Peter asked what kind they were. She told him that men often ask to see her feet, to which Peter replied, “Please God that’s the only thing they ask for.” But Princess went on to say some also write, “Are you finally legal now?”
When she showed him one particularly vile message, Peter recoiled in horror, putting his hands to his face and exclaiming, “Oh my God, Biss, I didn’t think it was going to be like that.” He admitted the words made him feel “sick in the pit of my stomach” before telling her, “I hate it because you’re still my baby.”
Princess, Peter’s eldest child with ex-wife Katie Price, continues to navigate the challenges of growing up in the public eye, with her father fiercely protective of her every step of the way.
