It was a magical morning on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden as 35-year-old Kieran Williams from Tamworth became the latest British millionaire – thanks to a life-changing win on the UK’s biggest radio game, Heart’s Make Me A Millionaire.
In a dramatic twist of fate, Kieran, a design engineer and father of two, opened safety deposit box number seven as the seventh finalist – just one week before his autistic son Alex celebrates his seventh birthday. That box held the jackpot: a staggering £1,000,000.

Holding back tears, Kieran shared the emotional significance of his win: “My son Alex is non-verbal and has autism. Now we can finally afford an AAC device that will help him communicate. That’s been our biggest challenge – but now, everything changes.”
Over the past three months, Heart’s Make Me A Millionaire has thrilled listeners across the UK, giving away daily cash prizes and leading up to today’s tense finale at Heart’s London studios. Nine lucky finalists gathered from across the country, each with hopes of unlocking the million-pound vault. Only one box contained the prize. And today, luck – or destiny – was on Kieran’s side.
“I still can’t believe it,” he said. “You never think it’ll be you. But when I got off the phone with Mark Wright, my wife just looked at me and said, ‘Seven.’ It gave me chills – like the stars really did align.”
What made the moment even more remarkable? Kieran had turned down £6,000 earlier in the competition to take a chance at the grand prize.
Heart presenters Jamie and Amanda were elated:
“What a morning!” Jamie said. “Kieran has just had his life changed in the most incredible way – and we’ve loved every second of sharing that journey with him.”
Amanda added, “This is what it’s all about – giving everyday people magical, unforgettable moments.”
From daily prizes to million-pound dreams, Heart’s Make Me A Millionaire continues to capture the imagination – and hearts – of the nation.
