Rock royalty Mick Jagger rang in his 82nd birthday with a London party that only a Rolling Stone could pull off – a night filled with glamour, legendary guests and a late-night altercation that brought police to the scene.
The evening kicked off with a private dinner at the exclusive Kensington Roof Gardens. Dressed to impress, Mick later arrived at Chelsea’s The Rex Rooms – co-owned by Jason Momoa – with fiancée Melanie Hamrick by his side. The couple, holding hands, radiated party spirit as Melanie stunned in a sleek black mini dress and stilettos, even cheekily sticking her tongue out for photographers.

The guest list read like a rock ‘n’ roll hall of fame. Fellow Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood arrived with wife Sally, bearing a red birthday gift bag, while Mick’s ex-wife Jerry Hall and daughter Georgia May Jagger made a stylish appearance in matching black dresses. Even Elizabeth Jagger joined the fun, as did Gene Gallagher – son of Oasis frontman Liam – who kept a low profile alongside his shy girlfriend.

Adding more A-list sparkle were Daphne Guinness, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jimmy Carr and Mariella Frostrup. The bash coincided with the afterparty of an Oasis concert at Wembley – and although the Gallaghers didn’t show, their legacy was felt through Gene and Lennon’s attendance.
But the night wasn’t all smiles – a scuffle outside prompted a police visit, adding a dash of real-life rockstar chaos.

Amid the celebrations, news also broke that The Rolling Stones are back in the studio, working on what could be their 25th album. Mick, Keith Richards, and Ronnie have reportedly recorded over a dozen new tracks at London’s Metropolis Studios, after shelving their European tour plans.
82, but still got the swagger.
