Michelle Keegan has been showered with praise by fans after cruel trolls targeted her for sharing a bikini photo just four months after welcoming her daughter, Palma.
The 37-year-old actress, who shares her baby girl with husband Mark Wright, proudly showed off her post-baby body over the weekend. The couple, married since 2015, have been keeping fans updated on their parenting journey – and Michelle’s latest post certainly stirred attention.
In a stunning Instagram photo, Michelle modelled a brown bandeau bikini from her collaboration with Orfila Bee. The look, complete with a gold front ring, white linen cover-up, cowboy hat and sunglasses, highlighted her glowing figure as she soaked up the sun. She captioned the photo: “We really did make the chicest cover up @orfilabee.”
However, while many praised her confidence, others cruelly questioned how she could look so fit so soon. One person wrote, “Thought she just had a baby?” Another added, “I still have my baby belly 28 years later.”
But fans quickly leapt to her defence. “She worked out before, during and after pregnancy!! Imagine thinking mum-shaming was okay!” one supporter commented. Another added, “Damned if you do and damned if you don’t!! It astounds me why people feel the need to shame women over their body!!”
Dozens more flooded the comments with admiration, calling Michelle “gorgeous” and “amazing.” One fan simply wrote: “The most beautiful woman on the planet.”
Behind the glamour, however, Michelle reportedly harbours concerns about her daughter’s future. According to insiders, she’s “terrified” that Palma might follow her and Mark into the limelight. A source told Heat: “Palma is so beautiful, and with both parents in showbiz, friends and family have been suggesting she join an agency. But for Michelle, the thought of her entering the industry is actually scary. She wants to protect her at all costs.”
