Geri Horner is reportedly struggling behind the scenes following her husband Christian Horner’s sudden dismissal from Red Bull Racing, with sources claiming she has made a significant decision about their future as a couple.
Just hours after Christian was officially axed as Team Principal of Red Bull, the former Spice Girl is said to be supporting him publicly – but privately, she’s finding the renewed spotlight difficult to handle. A source close to the family told The Mirror, “Geri is going to stand by her man and is supporting him fully. Image means so much to her, but behind closed doors she isn’t happy about the attention this brings.”
Christian and Geri have been married since 2015 and share an eight-year-old son, Montague. The couple also have children from previous relationships: Geri has 18-year-old daughter Bluebell, and Christian shares daughter Olivia with his ex-wife.
Red Bull’s official statement confirmed Christian’s departure and the appointment of Laurent Mekies as his successor. The move follows a turbulent year for Christian, including an internal investigation into allegations of inappropriate conduct. Although he was cleared, the situation escalated when alleged messages were leaked just a day after the verdict – putting enormous pressure on the family.
At the time, Geri stood beside her husband, holding his hand at the Bahrain Grand Prix, signalling unity. But according to insiders, she was deeply shaken. “People think Geri blindly supported him,” a source said. “But she had questions – it was a shock to both of them when everything exploded.”
