Harper Beckham, 14, has shown her first reaction after arriving at her brother’s home only to find nobody answering the door. The teenager’s response afterwards has left many people emotional, with some believing her touching gesture could even leave Brooklyn feeling ashamed

Harper Beckham reportedly responded with remarkable maturity after being left devastated by a failed attempt to see her estranged brother Brooklyn Beckham.

The 14-year-old travelled to Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz’s £14million Los Angeles mansion hoping for what would have been their first face-to-face meeting in more than 18 months. But despite making the journey shortly after attending David Beckham’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, Harper was met with silence when nobody answered the door.

Rather than reacting with anger or frustration, the teenager quietly returned to the car after leaving behind a handwritten letter for her older brother.

Those close to the Beckham family say the touching gesture highlighted just how much Harper misses Brooklyn and how determined she is to repair their relationship.

“It doesn’t take much to understand just how devastated Harper is that her big brother is no longer around,” a source said.

“Harper took the opportunity where she could. She’s a savvy young woman and she misses him, so she decided she would stop by and see if she could see him. Sadly for her, nobody was at home.”

The insider added: “She would give anything to have her brother back, to see him and be able to love him as she used to.”

Despite being left disappointed, Harper reportedly chose not to make a scene. Instead, she left a heartfelt note for Brooklyn and quietly headed back, a response that many observers believe reflects a level of grace beyond her years.

The emotional incident unfolded after the Beckhams had put on a united front at David’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, where Harper had proudly supported her father alongside the rest of the family.

Shortly after photos emerged of the unsuccessful visit, Brooklyn appeared on Instagram from New York, revealing that he and wife Nicola Peltz had remained on the East Coast following his appearance at the Tribeca Festival.

Whether the couple deliberately stayed away remains unclear.

But while tensions between Brooklyn and his parents continue to dominate headlines, sources insist David and Victoria Beckham did not stand in the way of Harper’s wish to see her brother.

The couple are said to have accepted that Brooklyn currently has no interest in speaking to them, but are determined not to let the family rift destroy his relationship with his younger siblings.

Brooklyn’s camp, however, dismissed the visit as another example of what he has previously described as “brand Beckham.”

A spokesperson for the eldest Beckham son told the Mirror: “That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.”

Yet for many fans, the image likely to linger is not one of accusations, but of a 14-year-old girl who simply wanted her big brother back.

And after finding no answer at the door, Harper’s response was not bitterness, but kindness.

A handwritten letter.

A quiet goodbye.

And perhaps a gesture that may prove far harder for Brooklyn Beckham to ignore than any public family feud.
