Celebrity Gogglebox viewers were left delighted after fan favourites Rylan Clark and his beloved mum Linda returned to the Channel 4 hit following their surprise absence from the opening episode.
The latest series of Celebrity Gogglebox launched earlier this month with a host of familiar faces and several new additions. Fans once again saw regular stars including Shaun Ryder and Mark ‘Bez’ Berry, Pete Wicks and Vicky Pattison, and Jennifer Saunders alongside daughter Beattie offering their thoughts on the week’s television.
Newcomers George Clarke and Max Balegde, Julian Clary and Nigel Havers, and Olivia Attwood with her mother Jennifer also joined the line-up.
However, viewers quickly noticed that one much-loved pairing was missing.
Rylan, 37, and his mum Linda have been part of Celebrity Gogglebox since 2019 and have become firm favourites thanks to their hilarious banter and close bond.
Thankfully, the duo made their comeback on Friday, June 12, with Rylan announcing the news in an Instagram video.
“Guess who’s back on Gogglebox… It’s Linda! We are very excited to be back this Friday night,” he told fans.
Turning to his mum, he asked whether she was looking forward to returning, with Linda confirming she was. Rylan then added: “Right, we’ll see you Friday night!”
Fans wasted no time sharing their excitement.
One follower wrote: “Love you guys. So good to see you back and looking lovely as always.”
Another joked: “Hey Linda, about bl**dy time.”
A third fan commented: “Glad you are both back, was hoping you would.”
Meanwhile, another viewer said: “I wondered where you guys were last week!!! Good to have you back again. Love your banter.”
Others echoed the same sentiment, with one writing: “Delighted to hear this news – missed the pair of you last week & was hoping you would be back.”
Over on X, fans were equally thrilled, with one simply posting: “Rylan and his mum back.”

After missing the series opener, the return of Rylan and Linda appears to have given Celebrity Gogglebox viewers exactly what they had been waiting for.
